As my new photography & film semester started today, we were asked to make pictures in Amsterdam, select 25 of them and print them in 3 hours. So then you think you have enough time, so you go into the city, take some shots… Some other ones.. on some different locations of course. So you’re not satisfied, and you take loads of others, until you find out you have only one hour to print them..
And you don’t want to go back to class having them print on normal paper, so you go to the one-hour photo service! Right, where you find out that 5 people in front of you REALLY don’t know how to use a photo machine with USB stick. Great. So instead of that, you go to the normal printer, where you pay 40 euro’s for 25 A4 pages with 3 pictures. Ouch. Finally at school, I could spread them all out and cut them into squares of 10 x 10 cm. After that I had to pick 4 of them which I liked most, on a ‘gut feeling’. This would be my inspiration for the coming days in which I’m to tell a fashion story through images… Sounds simple. I think I’ve spend another 4 hours that day selecting them? I’m like a turtle. Anyway, I didn’t want to keep them to myself, so here they are. Which one of those do you like?

Hey Anne B! How nice you’re blogging about your photography course!
Catching up with my feeds so this comes in quite late here…
I think I like picture 3 the best. The perspective and contrast make it feel really graphical. Did you have a hard time seeing the right things through your lens?

Lol. You seem to keep track of EVERYTHING! It’s fun doing this assignment for school though. Loads of pictures coming up! It wasn’t hard to find inspiration, but it’s hard to do something with it and translate it into a new ‘made’ picture. Doing my best here! Hope all goes well with photography?
